From Lahn towers and capstones.
Earth pyramids, here called "Lahntürme", are weathering images of moraines. The "capstones" have protected the towers from further weathering. (Such structures can be found in North Tyrol only in Wipptal and Serfaus).
The Walderbach breaks through the steep ridge to the Roppener Inn gorge in natural ravines and waterfalls.
The hike from the deep Innschlucht gorge to the bizarre Earth pyramids, along the wild Walderbach to the waterfall and further up to the clear views of the Inn Valley and to other "Lahn towers", gives a formative experience.
Starting point: approx. 3.5 km west of Roppen, narrow road to Wald, in front of the large information board of the Earth Pyramids is a small parking lot. To the right (north) to the Innschlucht.
A circular walk (duration approx. 1.5 hours) offers the ideal opportunity to marvel at these "natural wonders".
