Description

On a rugged rocky peak in a valley south of Reutte rise the defiant wall remains of the Ehrenberg castle ruins, Fort Claudia, the fortress at Schlosskopf and the Ehrenberger Klause.

Medieval fortresses, an interactive museum, a secret rock passage, viewing platforms for a magnificent view over the castle complexes and the valley basin, a 406-meter-long pedestrian suspension bridge spanning the valley and an inclined elevator for barrier-free access - these are the ingredients for an eventful day for the whole family. All this is on offer in the Ehrenberg Castle World, which lies on the historic Roman road Via Claudia Augusta.

To make the view and history of Ehrenberg accessible to everyone, two inclined lifts provide comfortable and, above all, barrier-free access to the castle ensemble. The inclined lift I "Ehrenberg Liner" takes you to the Hornwerk, the Ehrenberg castle ruins and the highline179. The inclined lift II "Top Liner", which opened at the beginning of March 2023, takes you to the highest point in the Ehrenberg castle world, the Schlosskopf fortress.
