The parish of Stumm/Stummerberg belongs to the Archdiocese of Salzburg. - Recognizable by the green church tower.
The parish of Stumm, which also includes the municipality of Stummerberg and the Distelberg district of the municipality of Aschau, belongs to the archdiocese of Salzburg. A special feature of this is the green church tower. The parish church of Stumm is dedicated to St. Rupert and is located in the center of Stumm.
Although it was first mentioned in a document in 1414, soil investigations have shown that a church may have stood on this site between 900 and 1100. The church's greatest treasure are the frescoes by Christof Anton Mayr (around 1765), which were only fully uncovered again in 1991 after being painted over several times.
