Attraction Church of St. Jakobus

Strass im Zillertal

The church is consecrated to St. Jakobus major (the elder). The first written information about the church can be found in 1337 in the will of Henry IV of Rottenburg. At that time surely only the today's, originally pure gothic choir stood. The baroque design and features give the church beauty and look like a friendly welcome to the visitor. The parish church of Strass is also a pilgrimage church on the great pilgrimage route to Santiago de Compostella. A detailed guide lies in the parish church.
