Church Brixen im Thale

Description

The parish church of the Assumption of Mary, located in the centre of the village, was consecrated as the deanery church of the Brixental in 1812.
A wooden church was already mentioned in Brixen in the 8th century.

The mighty, stucco-marble high altar, the side altars, the pulpit, the confessionals, the group of crosses and the newly built magnificent organ are particularly noteworthy. The parish church also has 10 chapels, 2 of which are pilgrimage churches.
A church guide is available in the parish church, which can be purchased for €3.
