Attraction Burschlkirche - Landeck

Landeck

The Gothic-looking, but only completed in 1650 construction goes back to a vow of the Weinzierl family in the plague 1635/36.

Description

The supraregional importance of the church is due to the three carved altars preserved in it. The baroque altars show the dominance of local carvers in the area of Landeck. According to the inscription, the high altar was erected in the Predella in 1651 and decorated with the sculptures of a carver from Prutz.
The hall has a splendid, richly arranged coffered ceiling decorated with gilded rosettes. On the site of the former plague cemetery, a chapel was built around 1900, which contains a Lourdesgrotte inside.
