Anatomical Museum
The renowned 'Body Worlds' exhibition is the modern version of an anatomical museum. Innsbruck's Anatomical Museum belongs to the city's university, and can be found in the Institute of Anatomy's building. Here, you can view human specimens, such as skeletons, skulls and other models. In addition, there are also wet and dry specimens to see. Examples include jars with dissected organs, such as lungs, hearts and much more.
This museum gives an insight into the work and history of anatomy. Visitors need to be aware, however, that real people and body parts are on display here.
Guided tours of the anatomical collection are available by appointment. Admission is free of charge.
