Old "Stiendl-Brennhütte"Schnapps distilling "once and now" - in 1996, as part of the village renewal, this small village square was built at the Stiendlerhof.The fountain is adorned with a carved wooden servant (designed and painted by Sepp Wartelsteiner, carved by Alois Hanser, Boar) as a symbol of Schwendau. The historic distillery has been lovingly renovated and now serves a small museum with insights into the world of distilling schapps. The art of distilling has shaped the town of Schwendau in recent decades, numerous fine brandies from various distilling masters have received awards. The many fruit trees in the center of the village characterize the village and especially in spring, the village the trees are in full bloom.
