Accessibility at Palais Claudiana

Description

Wheelchair accessible to view from the outside. To the right of the Ottoburg stands the Claudiana: a former Tyrolean government building named after the Countess of Tyrol, Claudia de Medici. During the 17th century, the countess had the building rebuilt and a large room added (only accessible during events) with a beautiful wooden Renaissance ceiling. The portrait heads of counts and countesses match those on the tomb of Emperor Maximilian I in the Court Church.

If you enter the Claudiana through the right-hand entrance, you come to a courtyard. At the far side of the courtyard is the wheelchair accessible entrance to the City Archives/City Museum.
