Trail description
The adventure begins with a ride up to the top of the Gaisbergbahn chairlift. Those in search of a challenge can eschew the mechanical option and instead ride up from Kirchberg along mountainbike route 203. The climb of around 450 vertical metres takes roughly 1.5 hours.
A wooden archway with a large photo of Lisi Osl marks the start of the trail. The first section comprises many turns and switchbacks, some of which are long enough to cruise around at high speed. The trail crosses the forest road on seveal occasions, though each crossing is clearly signposted. The top section also features a number of wooden Northshore elements, while the bottom section of this forest trail is faster and more flowy. It ends at the bottom station of the Gaisbergbahn lift.
Tip! The Gaisbergstüberl next to the top station of the lift is a good place to stop off for a snack and a drink. It has a large sunny terrace and fantastic views of the surrounding mountains.
