Watch larch wood balls roll into motion through what is probably the world’s largest wooden track at Kugelwald, literally “Ball Forest”, on Glungezer Mountain. Marvel at the beautiful and cleverly designed wooden ball track and enjoy stunning nature exploration—you and your kids will be playing all day. The “Ball Forest” offers a variety of fun activities to keep each member of the family busy and entertained in the great outdoors. Oversized stone pinewood balls wind their way down wide, curving tracks with sharp turns, various obstacles, flip gates, and rotating circle gates. Click-clack the balls drop down! Trailhead of the hundreds of meters long track is the tree house, an awesome pile dwelling at the heart of the 8,000 square meter play area. The “Ball Forest” is located at the mid-mountain terminal of Glungezerbahn, 1,560 meters above sea level. Build up the fun and create your own track with the Forest Construction Kit. Immerse yourself in tranquillity and relax and chill in stone pine loungers at the outdoor “reflection lounge”, enjoying stunning views of Karwendel Mountain Range. Kids can spend the day roaming about the playground while parents can enjoy delectable dishes at adjacent “Halsmarter” Inn.
